Resveratrol is richly found in red wine, as red wine remains one of the best sources resveratrol. Most of its sources include red grape skins, dark berries with raw cacao.
BMC Cell Biology magazine published a study. It shows that resveratrol plays active role to rejuvenating old cells.This team of researchers were led by Professor of Molecular Genetics at the University of Exeter . The first author of the article is Dr. Eva Latorre, associate researcher at the same university.
The study shows that as we age, splicing factors which are proteins are inactive. Addition of resverags to those aging cells reactivates them, and even make them divide again,
They discovered that cells could be made to both look and behave like younger ones. Reversatrol caused splicing factors to be switched back on. It showed that within hours, older cells resumed division with long telomeres.
This research helps in therapies for people age, lacking lots of degenerative illnesses as one get older.
According to Dr. Latorre:
“When I saw that some of the cells in the culture dish were rejuvenating, I could not believe it. These old cells looked like young cells. It was like magic. I repeated the experiments several times and in each case, the cells were rejuvenated. I am very excited about the implications and potential of this research. “
At Harvard they also confirm the benefits of consuming red wine
Harvard Medical School also confirmed that resveratrol which is in red wine, have anti aging benefits
According to lead author David Sinclair, professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School:
“In the history of pharmaceuticals, there has never been a drug that binds to a protein to work faster than the way resveratrol activates SIRT1. Almost all drugs slow down or block. “

Home preparation of red wine
Crush grapes in fermenting container,
dissolve sugar in water and add to crushed grapes
add yeast to 4 ounce water which has been heated and allowed to sit for 15 mins
stir the mixture and cover the container
ferment for 7 days and stir twice daily
strain and put in a second fermenter and airlock
cork and leave for about 4 weeks
siphon off and use for about one year
