The easiest thing a lot of people do is to throw away the leaves and seeds of pawpaw. However, these recipes from the leaves and seeds are significant towards many health conditions. Pawpaw is native of South America where it has spread to many tropical and subtropical countries of the world.

1 DIGESTION OF PROTEIN
With the pepsin like compounds and papain as component, consumption of paw paw aids in the digestion of proteins, especially meat: The elderly are hardly able to digest and utilize proteins properly. This leads to other grave health consequences. People above 40 years of age should for this reason and others consume pawpaw daily to have good health
Squeeze a handful of the leaves in a cup of water and drink a glass thrice daily. This helps to maintain good sugar level in the body.
3 STOMACH ULCERS
A wholesome and unripe pawpaw cut or quartered into several units with the back and seeds and soaked in 4-5 liters of 4-5 beer bottles of water for 96 hours or 4 days is a useful drink for ulcer. Filter it 3 times daily, half glass at a time. This is efficacious for stomach ulcer.
4. CHOLESTEROL AND FAT BURNING
The liquid from boiled seeds has been scientifically found useful in the control of obesity as well as reduction of cholesterol. A handful of seeds from ripe pawpaw with 1 liter of water are boiled and sieved. Then the liquid can be taken at half a glass twice daily. Pawpaw leaves are the major components in mixed portion of some herbaceous leaves. 6. THERAPY FOR ULCERATED WOUND
The white liquid that can be obtained by tapping the trunk of pawpaw tree and the fruits is called PAPAIN, a meat tenderizer known to many house wives for softening tough meat. However, it also has curative properties on ulcerated wounds. It is very effective. The milk liquid, papain is just rubbed on the wound liberally, after washing with hot water and cleaning the wound.
7. CURE FOR CONVULSION
The fallen brownish leaves of pawpaw can be grounded into a powder and two table spoons of the grounded powder is added to original palm oil, which should not contain too much FFE (free fatty acids) and the resultant mixture can be used like a lotion for the entire body of a convulsive patient and this will bring fast relief because the temperature will quickly come down and the muscles relaxed.

The tender root of pawpaw can be harvested and cooked to 100 degree, cooled and then sieved. The liquid can be taken 1 glass three times daily till pile disappears. This happens between 3-10 days
The same remedy as for pile but one can also inhale the vapour from the boiling root and this hastens the softening of the cough to form phlegm.
